Dougall referred me to the Game Maker program in the early summer of 2003. I was instantly hooked by the easy to use functions and instructions and a few weeks later I finished my very first game: Broomstick Practice. The overall quality of the game was excellent considering it was the first game I had ever made. Yet no one will argue that more recent T.W.W.N. Games are a major improvement over Broomstick Practice.
With Dougall's help, we went on to create 2 versions of both Chaser and Keeper Practice as well as a game titled Muggle Dueling which is highly satisfying to play. A month or so later we began developing one of our most popular games: Quidsticks
I originally came
up with the idea for Quidsticks during mid summer of 2003. Dougall had
helped me with some of T.W.W.N.'s games before so we decided to work together.
And I must say it was a wise decision.
Soon after starting work on the game, I came up with the name "Quidsticks".
Dougall liked the name so we decided to use that as the name of our new game.
Quidsticks is based on Paul Rajlich's game Broomsticks.
Though there is quite a difference in the two games. Quidsticks has/will have
many more gaming options including weather control, the ability to choose which
Stadium to play at, and you can also choose between an assortment of different
broomsticks models to fly.
Dougall and I have an unlimited supply of ideas for games we could make and each
one will get progressively better. Our wish is that all Harry Potter fans will
enjoy playing T.W.W.N.'s Games as much as we enjoy creating them.
